GIVEAWAY: JANUARY OWLCRATE

These past 48 hours have been very nerve wracking for many U.S. citizens. My anxiety has been through the roof, so when I received book mail Friday…it helped in distracting me for just a bit. I knew I wanted to host my 1st giveaway this year, I just didn’t think it would be this soon lol. The spirit of giving hit me though, and so I shall go with it. I hope this box finds its way to a wonderful bookworm who might also need a bit of a distraction. I meant to  post this box earlier in the day but btwn my 2 tiny humans & being absorbed watching the Women’s March I have truly lost track of time. Running this giveaway is giving me a little happy back & for that I am grateful. The rules for this giveaway will be listed at the bottom of this post. This giveaway will be open to my INTERNATIONAL bookworms as well, inspired by the outpouring support I’ve seen this morning from women all over the world. I have also been actively seeking out Diverse Books and this will play a part in this giveaway 😉

goodreads-synopsis-2In this modern day spin on Leroux’s gothic tale of unrequited love turned to madness, seventeen-year-old Rune Germain has a mysterious affliction linked to her operatic talent, and a horrifying mistake she’s trying to hide. Hoping creative direction will help her, Rune’s mother sends her to a French arts conservatory for her senior year, located in an opera house rumored to have ties to The Phantom of the Opera.

At RoseBlood, Rune secretly befriends the masked Thorn—an elusive violinist who not only guides her musical transformation through dreams that seem more real than reality itself, but somehow knows who she is behind her own masks. As the two discover an otherworldly connection and a soul-deep romance blossoms, Thorn’s dark agenda comes to light and he’s forced to make a deadly choice: lead Rune to her destruction, or face the wrath of the phantom who has haunted the opera house for a century, and is the only father he’s ever known.

  2. OMG best giveaway ever, thanks for the chance 🙂 I’ve been looking for somewhere where I can try and get one of these boxes. I live in Algeria, and unfortunately, I do not have enough Dollars to get one of these and in my currency it super expencive. Enough talking about my life as a poor book lover :p anyways, this year I have decided to try new genres, I am going with short books (under 200 pages) to see what kind I will like more. So, my most anticipated book is the #3 book in the series A Court of Thorns and Roses, ACOMAF was just so awesome , ca’t wait for the last book.

  3. I’m so stressed about everything! Reading has been my only escape. I just hope that I don’t fall down the rabbit hole again like I did a few months ago. I’m really looking forward to The Education of Margot Sanchez by Lilliam Rivera. It’s an #ownvoices Latinx story that is being described as “Pretty in Pink comes to the South Bronx”. Yes, please!!

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that, know you are def not alone 😕 The Education Of Margot Sanchez was an awesome read & perfect to pick up when you need something a bit lighter. Although it covers some very important topics like gentrification, it does so in a way that’s relatable. I have a review coming this week for Margot 😉 hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Thank you for stopping by & may luck be with thee 💕

  5. This is wonderful. I’ve been dying to have a box subscription in so long, it’s just so pricey with my currency, so I can’t afford to buy one. 😦 And speaking of most anticipated 2017 read, History is All You Left Me and Goodbye Days are on top of my wish list to read this year.

Thank you for the opportunity. Wish me the best of luck.

  9. I cannot wait for Hundreds by Pepper Winters! (#3 Dollar) You may have seen me going crazy on Twitter after reading the first two & then realising the third isn’t out yet lol. Gutted😂

Also, Crimson Death by Laurell K Hamilton. It’s out, but the paperback red edition isn’t available in U.K. yet & I don’t want to mess up the lovely order of them on my bookshelves, OCD perhaps.

Side note: I see America is a bit on edge after the Election, sending love to you & to those that see this. It’s a bit like after Brexit, the scaremongering was, and still is, crazy. I’m sure everything will be ok if you continue to hold your heads high & your hearts open💪🏼 x

    1. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Pepper Winters & so recommended it to a friend. She just finished the 2nd book & was also bummed when she realized book 3 isn’t out yet 😕 lol. I’ll look into Laurel K Hamilton 😉 I totally understand as I have mild OCD myself. I’ve actually received some words of hope from others who experienced Brexit & it is uplifting, so thank you 💜
I’ve entered your name, may luck be with thee 💕

  20. Thank you very much for the opportunity to become a winner in your giveaway. I am new to the world of book giveaways and this is the second one I have ever entered.

A book that I’m currently reading that came out last year is called The Winter Experience: Book One of the Seasons Experience Collection authored by Eli Summers (a personal friend that I’ve known since late childhood/early teenage years). It’s a fictional romance book about a 15-year-old boy named Mattie Hawkins and his journey as a homosexual individual.

My most anticipated read for 2017 would have to be Fever Song by Karen Marie Moning which is book 9 in the Fever series and takes place in Ireland. It involves paranormal romance as well as murder mystery.

There are a lot of exciting books that came out this year and books that are still coming out this year but I have to say I’m a little biased with the Fever series because it’s a series that pulled me out of a reading slump in 2015 after nearly 5 years of lacking my usual passion for reading. I haven’t been in a slump since then. 💕
