November was an exciting month for subscription boxes, I know I received exactly what I DID NOT predict lol..every month I go about guessing the book, yeah I know that it defeats the purpose but tell that to my curiosity *hides face* November’s theme is Wonderland & it was the 1st month that the obvious new release was staring me in the face yet It was the last book to come to mind HAHA! they got me good lol. I recently read, reviewed, and loved Heartless by Marisa Meyer (review here). This was a nice surprise & again I must tip my hat off to Owlcrate for their AMAZING thoughtful curation, each month they surprise me with the items they include in their boxes. I also nabbed myself a 3 month subscription to Book Of The Month from Groupon (Sale still going) and my November selection was The Trespasser (Dublin Murder Squad #6) by Tana French. I have been meaning to get to this series since January when I picked up Into The Woods (Dublin Murder Squad #1) while on a trip to Miami. From what I’ve read in reviews, the good thing about this series is that you don’t necessarily need to read them back to back since each book has a new set of characters and plot line. However, the characters in each new book are introduced in the previous book (if that makes any sense).

Goodreads Synopsis:
Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland and a favorite of the unmarried King, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, she wants to open a shop and create delectable pastries. But for her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for a woman who could be a queen.
At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the King’s marriage proposal, she meets handsome and mysterious Jest. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into a secret courtship.
Cath is determined to choose her own destiny. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.
Book Of The Month
Goodreads Synopsis:
A brilliant new novel from the New York Times bestselling author, whom Gillian Flynn calls “mesmerizing” and Stephen King calls “incandescent.”
Being on the Murder squad is nothing like Detective Antoinette Conway dreamed it would be. Her partner, Stephen Moran, is the only person who seems glad she’s there. The rest of her working life is a stream of thankless cases, vicious pranks, and harassment. Antoinette is savagely tough, but she’s getting close to the breaking point.
Their new case looks like yet another by-the-numbers lovers’ quarrel gone bad. Aislinn Murray is blond, pretty, groomed to a shine, and dead in her catalogue-perfect living room, next to a table set for a romantic dinner. There’s nothing unusual about her—except that Antoinette’s seen her somewhere before.
And that her death won’t stay in its neat by-numbers box. Other detectives are trying to push Antoinette and Steve into arresting Aislinn’s boyfriend, fast. There’s a shadowy figure at the end of Antoinette’s road. Aislinn’s friend is hinting that she knew Aislinn was in danger. And everything they find out about Aislinn takes her further from the glossy, passive doll she seemed to be.
Antoinette knows the harassment has turned her paranoid, but she can’t tell just how far gone she is. Is this case another step in the campaign to force her off the squad, or are there darker currents flowing beneath its polished surface?
Do any of you subscribe to Book Of The Month? if so, which book did you go with this month? thoughts on the Owlcrate exclusive cover? yay or nay?
I love, LOVE this month’s OwlCrate! I love the cover and everything Wonderland. I thought they won’t beat my favorite box from them back in July. It was Good vs Evil and I loved it but this beats that. Bravo, OwlCrate, bravo!

Well we know from their teaser that they’ve paired up with Darkhorse for a Game Of Thrones item that is re-usable lol smh here I go trying to guess the box

I guess I won’t read Tana French’s books in order either, because I also read Into the wood only and there like 20 now hahaha

Lmao! I plan on reading them at some point but The Trespasser had my name all over it lol, it’s a relevant read during these gross times in history for women.

You know I don’t subscribe to Owl Crate but I always see the unboxings and I have to say that I really like this one the most so far. Trespassing sounds creepy and right up your ally lol, look forward to that review!!

Yea I was impressed with the November box. Usually when they send tea, it comes in a loose packet but this one came in a tin can with individually wrapped tea In the cutest little bags. I’m really interested in reading about the female protagonist in The Trespasser who is a detective that is harassed in the workplace to another level. The creep factor is def there lol, thanks Gretchen 😉

I really loved this month’s Owl Crate. I was so considering getting it myself just because I am a massive fan of Alice in Wonderland but in the end I didn’t. I’m already subscribed to Fairy Loot and couldn’t justify spending the extra money on another box, especially with Christmas coming up. But oh I love the cover for that copy of Heartless, and all the bookish goodies look amazing as well! 😀

I believe they are going to be selling the boxes w/out the subscription soon, but those will probably fly off the shelf. Every month I go and see what Fairy Loot sent out & get stars in my eyes 😂😂😂

November’s OwlCrate was so perfect! I’m glad I decided to not cancel my subscription because I would have sad not to have that box. I’m in love with the tea and wish there was a way I could buy more of it 😂. I can’t wait until next months! At the mention of Game of Thrones I was all WANT. 😍

Can you not purchase it from the Etsy shop they partnered with for the tea? Or was it an exclusive? 😐 next month sounds EPIC!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼I’m super excited & know I’m just gonna love it! 😬😬😬

I think it was an exclusive :(. I checked the shop a week or so ago and it wasn’t on there. I was tempted to email them about it but then I saw the OwlCrate email about not emailing the tea shop about it so I didn’t. 🙈

What a gorgeous Owlcrate package! It looks like you already had a paperback ARC, but now you have a beautiful hardcover too.
My BOTM pick for November was Swing Time. I will probably read it in early January or later in December because Zadie Smith is coming to my city and I must go to that event! My bf also got me 6-month subscription to BOTM as an early Christmas present. So, yay 🙂 I’m still not sure what to pick for December, though…I may skip it. Have you seen the selections yet?

Thank you, the November Owlcrate box is now my favorite so far. I did have the ARC & loved the story so I consider myself lucky to have received it twice. My Owlcrate subscription is a Valentines Day gift from my hubby (my year is almost up 😫😫😫 lol. I was thinking about getting Swing Time & I keep seeing people on the train with it. I may just add it to a box later on. I was also considering skipping December smh but I ended up going with the yet unreleased Swimming Lessons BUT lol I added a book that I have been oggling for way too long, All The Ugly and Wonderful Things🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’m more excited about my add-on TBH haha!
